What qualifications do you have?
All AFA Group Wealth wealth advisers have university degrees and post-graduate qualifications in finance or financial services, along with extensive vocational experience. Our Financial Services Guide details each adviser’s qualifications.
What do you give advice on?
AFA Group Wealth is licensed under Axies Pty Ltd (a subsidiary of Spark Financial Group), an Australian Financial Services Licence to give advice and deal in the following financial products:
• Budgeting and cash flow management
• Investing in managed funds
• Investing in direct property
• Debt strategies (including borrowing for personal and investment purposes)
• Personal insurance (life cover, disability, income protection, trauma & Key Man)
• Superannuation strategies
• Strategic asset allocation
• Retirement planning (retirement income streams, including pensions & annuities)
• Estate planning
• Centrelink and other government benefits
• Ongoing advice and services, including regular portfolio reviews
Do you guarantee a rate of return for my investments?
No, it’s illegal for any financial adviser to guarantee a return. Through our detailed research and experience, we recommend what we believe may be the most beneficial outcome for you.
What if I don’t want a full financial plan, just specific advice?
We do not provide specific advice without a financial plan (Statement of Advice). We are legally obligated to conduct research and testing prior to presenting you with recommendations.
What happens if I receive a windfall or things go bad?
We understand life will have its ups and downs. Give us a call as soon as you can, and talk through what’s going on in your life. Together, we’ll adjust your financial plan.
What are your fees?
Fees are based on the complexity and requirements of each client, and vary between each client.
Am I locked into an ongoing service contract?
No, you are not locked in. If you wish to stop receiving our services (and cease paying fees) you can do so at any time by writing to us.
Can I pay for your fees out of my super fund? Some fees may be paid out your super fund, however only for the advice applicable to superannuation advice.
Do you receive any commission for recommended financial products?
We only receive commission on insurance products, as we do not charge fees for these services.
I work full-time, can I meet you after-hours?
We offer a limited number of after-hours appointments each month. These often fill up quickly so please book well in advance to reserve your place.
I can’t meet you in person, how else can I meet you?
We embrace technology and offer clients phone meetings and video conferencing, with stringent identification verification requirements.
