As you all know the World Health Organisation (WHO) last week declared COVID-19 (Coronavirus) a global pandemic. They issued a strong statement for governments and organisations to do whatever it takes to prevent further spread of the virus, one of those steps is social distancing.
As the Managing Director of Australian Financial Advisers Group I have chosen to temporarily suspend in person meetings. All meetings will be moved to either phone or web meetings and all our staff have been instructed to work remotely until Tuesday, 14th April.
Why?
Though it is great to see our lovely clients in person, it is now not the only way of seeing each other. With experts encouraging social distancing it is important we do this, not necessarily just for us directly but for others around us. It is my role to follow appropriate health and safety protocols to ensure measures are in place to protect the health and safety of our clients and staff.
How will meetings be conducted?
Meetings currently booked in person will be either changed to phone or web meetings once you are contacted by one of our staff members.
Web meetings will be conducted via Zoom,an app easily downloaded on your device.
We acknowledge some clients do not have access to a webcam or appropriate technology and require in person meetings, these meetings will be postponed tentatively until Tuesday, 14th April and are subject to change due to the current situation. In the meantime we encourage all communication to be made via email or phone call.
